The Toy & Food Run Needs Volunteers

HELP: We urgently need your help in any of the following areas. Please read carefully and follow the instructions below to sign up as a volunteer. Thank you!


Grounds
Need 10 VOLUNTEERS.  Work with coordinator in setting up snow fencing, picnic tables, indoor table placement, port-a-let placement, garbage can placement.  Tear down all fencing and banners at end of event.
Time Commitment:  Prior to event varies.  Set Up Sat: 2-3 hours; Event Day: 8am to Close

Vendors
Need 2 VOLUNTEERS. Work with previous vendors, Find New Vendors, Check in vendors, pprwk completed and collect vendor fees.
Time Commitment Event Day: 8am to Close

Stage Area
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS. Work with Stage Manager to assist in set up/tear down of bands and other activities on the stage.  Be available to do stage set up and tear down on Saturday and Sunday.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 9:30am to Close

Registration – Onsite
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS.  Work with coordinator on having attendees sign indemnity form, take entrance fee and donations.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 8am to 3:30pm

Registration – Offsite
Need 18 VOLUNTEERS.  Work with coordinator on having attendees sign indemnity form, take entrance fee and donations at multiple registration sites. Knuckleheads, Elburn, Wild Fire Harley Davidson, City Limits HD, The Toy Shop and Motolounds, Heritage Harley Davidson, Fox River Harley and BarbWire Harley Davidson.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 10:30am to 1:30pm

Products
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS. Work with coordinator on product set up and sales.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 8am to Close

Charities       IMPORTANT: NEED COORDINATOR!!
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS. 2 on ground in front of trailers/4 on trailers.  Help coordinator check in charities, receive donations and sort, line charities up and distribute goods. Time Commitment:  Event Day: 10am to 2:30pm

Road Guards
Need 14 VOLUNTEERS. to be at specific areas along parade route.  Hand out Thank you for your patience cards to stopped motorists.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 10am to End of Parade Route

Road Captains
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS. to be interspersed in parade route keeping crowd control and helping riders maintain speed etc.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 10am to End of Parade Route

Parking
Need 12 VOLUNTEERS. Work with coordinator in setting up parking.  Direct attendees at start to registration area. Work in conjunction with security on any issues arising during the parking process. Work on parade route return parking.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 8am to Parade Route return.  Scale down after parade return.

ELBURN SITE
Need 10 VOLUNTEERS.  Work with site coordinator in directing traffic, registration.  Work in conjunction with security on any issues arising during the parking process.
Time Commitment:  Event Day: 9:00am to 1:30pm.  Set Up on Saturday if needed.

Security
Need 12 VOLUNTEERS.  To work with security coordinator backstage, grounds, parking and hanger.  May also need you to work at Elburn Site.  MUST BE calm and steady.

Volunteer Coordinator
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS. Work with coordinator to check in volunteers and distribute lanyards and wristbands

Toy/Food Collection Boxes
Need 6 VOLUNTEERS.  To distribute toy donation boxes prior to event and pick up donation boxes on the Saturday of Toy Run Weekend.  Need volunteers to help count and record donations on Saturday night.
